On January 23rd from 6-8 pm at Maricopa High School (45012 W Honeycutt Avenue) The Be Awesome Youth Coalition will be conducting a Parent University with Families First and Maricopa High School. This event is open to the public and will offer free work shops on three topics facing parents of local teens today: drug and alcohol prevention, anger management, and human trafficking. Come learn the facts, and how you can talk with your children about these issues. Complimentary dinner is provided.
The Be Awesome Youth Coalition meets monthly at Maricopa Elementary School (18150 n. Alterra Parkway) every third Saturday from 10 am to 11:30. Meetings focus on delivering youth substance abuse prevention strategies with in the community. Come help us continue to impact our local youth.
The Maricopa SADD Chapter meets every Wed after school from 3:45-5:45 at Maricopa Elementary School (18150 N. Alterra Parkway). All dedicated youth in grades 6-12 are invited to help promote positive drug free choices among their peers. SADD youth serve as the youth voice at the Be Awesome Youth Coalition.
