On average, 24 people per minute are victims of rape, physical violence or stalking by an intimate partner in the United States — more than 12 million women and men over the course of a year. October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and a great time to review your role as a home visitor in supporting families experiencing Domestic Violence. Here are some things you can do:
- Join the HRSA’s Office of Women’s Health and Office of Regional Operations on Thursday, October 31, 10:00 am – 11:30 amfor a webinar commemorating Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The speakers will highlights state-level efforts to address intimate partner violence and provide strategies for implementing trauma-informed care in health settings. Register to attend.
